Visten settings

Updated: Feb 16

Welcome to Visten. In this tutorial we will show you how to set up the application to manage your portfolio effectively. You will find all important profile data and portfolio settings in settings.

Manage all your brokers in the portfolio tab.

When executing a new transaction, choose from the list of brokers marked as active.

You can also simply add a new broker.

Supports DRIP option allows you to reinvest dividends with that particular broker. See more in the Dividends tutorial.

Another important list to select from is Regions. Visten provides you with diversification statistics based on Regions information.

A region can be a continent, country, or another name that helps you to keep your portfolio geographically classified.

The region is typically defined by the company´s headquarters location or the location of the majority of its profits. ETF region is listed in the issuer´s summary sheet.

Regions are included in distribution statistics. Learn more from statistics tutorials.

One of the other useful features is Constant Investment Size.

Visten gives you a tool that helps you to follow a dollar-cost-averaging strategy.

Dollar-cost averaging – known as DCA – is an investment strategy in which an investor divides up the total amount to be invested across periodic purchases of a target asset in an effort to reduce the impact of volatility on the overall purchase.

Set up constant investment amount and Visten will calculate the price and quantity automatically when executing buy transaction.

Click on the lock icon to disable the automatic calculation function for the particular transaction.
